NOTE
14.11.38
(Rex. 3. Lubeinté obcons.)
This letter recommends an examination of
forestry in Hong Kong by an experienced officer of
x
the Malay Forestry Reserve. I am not sure that the
present is exactly the moment in Hong Kong to consider
the development of the forestry resources, but on
the other hand I can see no objection to, and much
the in
advantage in, examination now, and the preparation
of a detailed scheme for their exploitationif it should
then prove advisable.
Laccounting
Mr. Walker should see the recommendation for
changes in paragraph 6 in case he has any obsons.
to make on them.
The recommendation in the letter at 7 that
Hong Kong should employ a trained Forestry Officer
Could perhaps best be taken up after the visit of the
Malayan Officer.
