.-New Police Sub-station, Wanchai Gap, $20,000. The wooden dormitory sheds at Mount Gough were destroyed during the typhoon of September, 1937, and accommodation to replace these is required. Owing to the recent building development in the eastern portion of the Hill District it is necessary for effective policing to have a sub- station nearer that district. The proposed sub-station will fulfil both these requirements.
.-New Government House, $100,000.-The proposal to replace the existing Government House by a new building to be erected near Magazine Gap has already been before Council. It is now proposed to commence this work.
.-New Police Station, Stanley, $50,000.-Owing to extensive building development in the Stanley district it is considered necessary to provide a larger and more up to date station.
.-Ellis Kadoorie School, conrersion of Annexe into Gymnasium, $4,000.-Physical training facilities are lacking at this school and it is proposed to convert an existing and little used annexe into a gymnasium.

Incidentally the change will permit a slightly greater area in the playground. 7.-Queen Mary Hospital, Additions and Improvements, $10,000.-A number of small additions and improvements to assist in the better running of the hospital have been requested by the Medical Depart- ment. This sum is to cover the cost of these.
