In reply to your letter of the 31st October,
reference 53567/38, forwarding a schedule of members of
the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps who wish to undergo
training with home units during 1939, I am commanded by
My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you
that arrangements can be made for Acting Sergeant
K. M. A. Barnett to undergo the desired course from the
9th to 21st, January 1939. He should report to the
Commandant, Royal Marines, Eastney Barracks, Portsmouth,
P.M. on the 8th January.
Standard rate fees for tuiton would be applicable
to the coursè, and travelling expenses and the usual
charges for messing and accommodation, if provided, would
be borne by the Naval Commanding Officer or reclaimed
from the Crown
Agents.
In order that the necessary arrangements may be made
