Sir,
With reference to previous correspondence
resting with your despatch No.284 of 6th September, 1938,
I have the honour to request your covering approval of
the supplementary expenditure of $50,000 under Head 29,
Charitable Services, of the estimates for 1938, to
provide for the payment of further expenses incurred by
the Tung Wah Hospital in respect of refugee repatriation
and relief.
2.
The approval of the Finance Committee has
already been obtained.
