Dear Rogers,

I enclose copy of a letter which Ronald has

received from Herschel Johnson at the United States

Embassy, on the subject of the war material passing

through Hong Kong to China. As we agreed by telephone on the 24th June, I think the United States request might best be met by instructing the Governor of Hong Kong to supply the United States Consul-General there with

copies of the full returns of war material such as he

has recently been sending us. We ourselves however

would prefer to receive condensed reports as has already been arranged.

Your Sicurely

MORTlbor

P. Rogers, Esq.
