AIR RAIDS : 17th DECEMBER – S0th DECHABAR.

I beg to report further damage sustained by the

kailway through aerial attack between 17th and 20th instant.

17th DECEMBER.

TU TONG - CHEUNG MUK TOU. at about 9.50 hours the Railway

was attacked by 2 enemy planes when 4 bombs were dropped

between Ki 98 and 94. 2 rails with fittings and 5 sleepers

at Km. 92/2 were damaged and telegraph wires interrupted

Repairs to the track were immediately carried out.

SIEN TSUN. At about 14.06 hours the Railway was again

attacked by 3 enemy planes. 2 bombs were dropped at Km. 48/16,

and 1 at Km. 47/15 where 5 pairs of rail and 20 sleepers were

badly damaged.

Repairs to the track were immediately carried out.

18th DECEMBER

TU TONG-CHEUNG MUK TOU. At about 11. 10 hours 3 enemy

planes raided the kailway and dropped 3 bombs between Km. 93/6

and 93/16. 8 rails were damaged while about 40 ft. of track

in the cutting wag covered up with earth.

Repairs to track was immediately carried out.

LUK TSUT TONG TOU HA. At about $1.15 hours 2 enemy

planes attacked the Railway when 1 bomb was dropped at Km. 104/4, 1 at Km. 106/6, 1 at Km. 105/7 and 1 at Km. 106/5 where 2 rails

and 10 sleepers were damaged. The telegraph wire were also

interrupted.

Repairs to the track were immediately carried out.
