Reports are appearing in the press here to the effect that
discovery was made on occupation of Tsingtao that Great Britain
had exported war supplies on a considerable scale through that
port. Urigin is said to be mainly Czechoslovakian and Belgian
but shipments were handled by British merchants.
It is surmised that as the result of occupation of Tsingtao
such shipments will be diverted to Hongkong where the trafic is
held to be increasing daily.

Hongkong and Tsingtao.
