The graph shows, of course, only
consignments passing through Hong Kong, and
80 presents an incomplete picture of total
supplies to China. Most Russian consignments
would presumably go via Siberia, though a few
are shown in March, while French consignments
would go via Indo-Chine until the Railway was
closed to munitions for China. Since then a
few consignments are shown as going via Hong
Kong.
It is almost impossible to analyse
without an inordinate amount of labour_7
the nature of each country's consignments, but
broadly speaking Germany seems to have supplied
almost entirely guns and ammunition, while the
supplies from other countries have been more
varied, with, however, the bulk of the aircraft
coming from U.S.A. and Great Britain.
