Should be glad to have by telegram information whether
Sloss will visit Singapore to meet Commission referred to in
letter to you from Moore of 15th September.
I have in meantime been carefully considering your
despatch No. 514 regarding University reorganisation and I
should like you to know in this connexion that my conclusion
fully agrees with your own that at present time there is no
necessity to pursue proposal for outside Commission. But
when conditions in China are less unsettled it appears to me
likely that whole position of Hong Kong University in relation
to China will need careful survey and that this may require
services of specially selected Commission.
