(2) The following words shall be inserted at the end of para-
graph (4) thereof :-
Provided that in the case of a crossed warrant payable to a third party the warrant may be paid if the receipt thereon purports to be signed by the payee and such a receipt shall be a full discharge to the Post- master General for the payment of the sum named in the warrant
4. (1) Paragraph (1) of Regulation 46 (Notice of desire to obtain payment by telegraph) of the Principal Regulations is hereby re- the Principal pealed and the following paragraph shall be substituted therefor, Regulations that is to say: And Repeal.

(1) A depositor may apply at any Savings Bank office ap- pointed by the Postmaster General for the purpose to withdraw any sum by telegraph (hereinafter called' payment by tele- graph') Provided that no payments by telegraph shall be made to any one depositor in any one day which exceed a total sum of £10 "
(2) Regulation 47 (Limit of payment by telegraph) and Regu- lation 49 (Rules applicable to a telegram of withdrawal) of the Principal Regulations are hereby repealed.
5. Paragraph (1) of Regulation 83 (Annual transmission of deposit book to principal office of Savings Bank) of the Principal the Principal Regulations is hereby repealed and the following paragraph shali Regulations, be substituted therefor, that is to say :-

(1) Every depositor shall once in each year on such date as the Postmaster General may so direct (unless the interest due for the previous calendar year has been already entered in the deposit book) and at any other time when so required forward the deposit book to the Controller of the Post Office Savings Bank.

6. Paragraphs (1) and (2) of Regulation 84 (Loss of or damage to and surrender of deposit book or coupon deposit book) of the the Principal Principal Regulations are hereby repealed and the following para- Regulations. graphs shall be substituted therefor, that is to say :--

(1) If any depositor shall lose his deposit book or coupon deposit book and shall desire a new book, application must be made by him to the Controller of the Post Office Savings Bank, stating the circumstances

(2) Upon receiving such application the Postmaster General may, if he thinks fit, issue a new book to the applicant
and may charge therefor the sum of one shilling.
7. These Regulations shall come into force on the 1st day of Commence- May, 1931.
