appointed in March of this year a small Committee
consisting of the following:-

Hong Kong University).

Rev. F. Short.

Mr. C.G. Sollis.
to consider the question of the training of teachers
in this Colony.

This action was incidentally mentioned in
the tenth paragraph of my despatch on the subject of Fon 53611/28 the University (1937) Committee, No. 514 of the 27th

of June, 1938.

I transmit the enclosed thirty copies of a print which sets out the findings of the Majority and
the Minority of the Committee. It will be observed
that this is in the form of a Sessional Paper, but it has not been possible to lay it on the table of the Legislative Council until its next meeting.
