With reference to Colonial Office letter
No.53510/38 of the 16th May, I am directed by Viscount
Halifax to state for the information of Mr. Secretary
MacDonald that he agrees that the Government of Hong
Kong should return in their archives the signed originals
of the Working Agreement which has been entered into
with the Government of China for Through Goods Traffic
between the Canton-Hankow Railway, the Chinese Section
of the Canton-Kowloon Railway and the British section of the Kowloon-Canton Railway.
