Roger, Esq., Eastern Department, Colonial Office, Whitehall.
Dear Mr. Roger,
& Franklin Rein oblong Kandy.
You will recall my meeting with you on the after- noon of 21st ultimo, and my telephone conversation with you yesterday. As a result of that conversation, I saw a gentleman in Room No. 9a. in Dartmouth Street and, to keep you au fait with matters, I am enclosing a copy of a letter which I have sent to the client who instructs me from Paris. This is a very hard case and I sincerely hope that you will give it the very sympathetic and expeditious consideration which you promised at our meeting.
You must forgive me for writing to you personally like this, but it saves time and can do no harm.
I am,
Yours faithfully.
