With reference to Foreign Office letter No.

15F 10777/167/10, of the 17th December, I am directed by

Mr. Secretary Eden to transmit herewith, for the

information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies,

a copy of a letter from the Deputy Secretary-General of

the League of Nations on the subject of facilities for

the entry into and the re-export from Hong Kong of certain

quantities of narcotic drugs intended for the use of the

three medical units sent by the League of Nations.

2. Mr. Eden would be grateful if the facilities

requested by him in his letter under reference could be

extended to cover the request addressed by Mr. Sean Lester

to the Government of Hong Kong.
