I have the nonour to infor où that Chinese, Mr.
Chong Kin Woon, called yesterday at this Consulate and
presented to me a letter of introduction from the Malayan
Collieries, Limited, of Kuala Lumpur. This letter, copy
of which I enclose herewith, states that Mr. Chong has been
sent to China to select and bring back with him to Malaya
two hundred experienced Chinese underground miners.
Protector of Chinese for Selangor and Pahang has authenti-
cated the letter.
