A further serious attack on a train moving

from Cant on to Kowloon at 0850 hours 24 October at Nam

Sheh, 5 miles south of Shek Lung. On this occasion 3

bombs were dropped by 8 Japanese aeroplanes and this was

followed by machine gun attack from same aeroplanes.

British section and 9 of the 14 waggons and coaches

belonged to British section. Several of the latter

were badly damaged and claims on Japanese Government

will be forwarded in due course. 2 passengers injured",

and to enclose herewith for your information a copy of a

report on this incident by the Manager, British Section,

Kowloon-Canton Railway, together with copies of

statements made by the engine driver and the fireman

of the train and a set of photographs showing the

damage done to British Section coaches Numbers 13 and

25 respectively.
