GOVERNMENT HOUSE,

HONG KONG,

26th October, 1937.

I have the honour to confirm my

3 telegram No.247 of 22nd October, 1937, in which

I reported that I had on that day paid an

official visit to Macao.

2.

I enclose a newspaper cutting which

describes my reception there, but the enthusiasm displayed on all sides was even greater than

would appear.

Dr. Barbosa expressed the wish to

call on Sir Geoffry Northcote when the latter

has been here a month or so and I shall not fail

to bring this to Sir Geoffry's notice.

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your most obedient, humble servant,

N.L. Smith

شاید
