I am directed by Hr.Becretary #den to transalt
to you herewith a copy of a despatch which he has received
from His Majesty's Ambassador at Peking on the subject of
an attempt to obtain transfer to British registry of two
vessels not genuinely British-owned.
2. Ur. Eden would be glad if he might be informed
in due course whether any attempt was ande to securo
British registration in Hong Kong for the ships in question,
and, if so, with what result.
