ORDINANCE No. 10 of 1899. (MERCHANT SHIPPING).

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 42 of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, the Governor in Council further amends Table M in the Schedule to the said Ordinance as follows:-
Amendment.
Regulations 15 and 15A and the heading thereto are rescinded and the following regulation and heading are substituted:
Landing of foreign soldiers, sailors and airmen.

15.-(1) No soldier, sailor or airman in the service of Landing any foreign power shall land in the Colony, outside the harbour of foreign limits, directly or indirectly from any vessel or aircraft in the service of such foreign power without the prior permission of the Governor for which application must be made by the Senior Officer in command of the soldiers, sailors or airmen concerned.
(2) No armed soldier, sailor or airman, in the service of any foreign power, shall land in the Colony, within harbour limits, without the permission of the Colonial Secretary except as follows:-
(a) this paragraph shall not apply to officers landing armed for the purposes of ceremony or funeral;
(b) permission shall ordinarily be given for landing of armed firing parties when required at funerals,
