With reference to Colonial Office letter
84 No. 53838/2/37 of the 15th December I am directed
by Mr. Secretary Eden to inform you that he concurs
in Mr. Secretary Ormsby Gore's view that the Government
of Hong Kong should be authorised to take powers which
will enable them to control the entry of Chinese refugees
into the colony.
2. Copies of this letter are being sent to the
Admiralty, War Office and Air Ministry.
