Dated 30th August, 1937. Received at 12.15 pm. 30th August.
No.166 | Your telegram No.144 Suggestion was made on the
20th August to all local shipping offices including the P & 0 Steam Navigation Company that passengers already booked to Shanghai should be advised to await reopening of
communications elsewhere than at Hong Kong in view of
shortage of accommodation here. Norddeutsche Lloyd
apparently misunderstood the telegram from Hor Kong agents
who are now explaining the position to Berlin.
