The Board consider that any of these three candidates
would be suitable for the appointment.
They would recommend
Mr.Nicol as their first choice in view of the experience which
he has had of educational work in the East. All three
candidates would, at present, be inclined to regard the appoint-
ment in Hong Kong as a temporary one, and the Board would be
willing to second any one of them for the post for a period,
in the first instance, of three or five years.
The Board assume that the Director of Recruitment will now
wish to interview these candidates and that he will communicate
with them direct.
