There may be seven directors, of whom the
Chairman (Mr. Sogo) and five others have been appointed,
and three auditors, of whom one has been appointed.

As advisers to the Company representatives of
various leading Japanese business houses have been chosen,
comprising the President of the Osaka Shosen Kaisha, the
Chairman of the Mitsubishi Shoji Kaisha, and one each of
the directors of the Industrial Bank of Japan, the Sumitomo
Goshi Kaisha and the Mitsui Gomei Kaisha.
6. The objects of the company, as set out in the
Articles of Association and reproduced in the newspaper,
are:
Article 4. The corporation, with a view to bringing
closer economic relations between Manchuria and
China, shall be engaged mainly in the following
lines of business:-
(a) Export andImport trade with China, agency
and brokerage therefor;
(b) Direct management of various economic enter-
prises in China, mediation in the commencement
by other parties thereof, and investment therein;
(c) Business relating to or associated with the
foregoing.
The vagueness of these clauses makes it possible for the
company to undertake practically any type of business it
likes.
