4 enemy planes raided the Railway between Nam Sheh

and Cheung uk Tou at about 9.00 hours. The station building

at Nan sheh and the station building and P.W. Gang Hut at Tu

Tong were badly damaged. The Down Home Signal at Cheung Muk

Tou, the telegraph wires between Km. 90/11 and 90/14 and the

telephone cable at Cheung Muk Tou were damaged. The track

near No. 1 point at Cheung hk Tou yard was slightly damaged

and put right at ones.

Two British Section Third Class passenger

coaches

of No. 1 train which was at the time detained at Nam Shoh

station were wrecked (see Locomotive Superintendent's report

No. 1378/A of 25th October 1987), this train carried no

troops or ammunition.
