6.40 a.m. mixed train from Canton to Hongkong was bombed
in Namsheh 46 miles from Canton at 9.14 a.m. today. Two British section passenger coaches were badly damaged, one passenger killed and six wounded. No troops and no armoured cars on train.
2. Railway station destroyed, railway undamaged. Repeated to Nanking No. 106, General Officer Commanding Hongkong No. 10 Air Attaché 'shanghai No. 16, Tokyo No. 5, Foreign Office No. 48.
