Lest you should think that I am painting a picture in
too vivid colours I may mention that at one time or another
my Belgian, Netherlands, French and United states colleagues
have all volunteered an expression of their concern at the
growing antagonism here against Great Britain which transcends
in strength similar to ebullitions of feeling in the past
(my Belgian colleague has been here sixteen years and my
Netherlands colleague fourteen years).
