79. A ship of Group II. Class 1, 2, 3 or 4, if less than 80 feet registered length, shall carry at least two approved life-buoys.

80. One approved life-jacket shall be carried for each person on board.

81. DAVITS—Any ship of Group II Class 2, 3 or 4 if 80 feet registered length or over, shall be provided, in accordance with its length, with the number of sets of davits specified in Column (A) of Table No. 17.

This regulation shall also apply to ships of Group II. Class 1 not licensed for the carriage of passengers, if 80 feet registered length or over.

The number of sets of davits and the boat capacities of ships not provided for in the Table shall be prescribed by the Government Marine Surveyor.

82. BOATS:-Each set of davits shall have a boat of Class 3 attached to it.

The total cubic capacity of the boats under davits shall be at least up to the minimum capacity required by Column (J).
