(Short title: Regulations to be construed as one with Principal
Regulation)

Any European officer who retire from the service of ( in the circumstances described in paragraph (e) of Section 7 of the Ordinance and is granted in respect of his service in
) a pension computed wholly or in part at the rate prescribed by Regulation 2 of the..... (1) Regulations 1934 may, with the approval of the Secretary of State, be granted a compensatory addition to such pension subject to the following rules:-
(i) if his total public service reckonable for pensions is
ten years the addition shall not exceed 60ths of his pensionable emoluments;

(ii) if his total public service reckonable for pension is more
than ten years the addition shall not exceed 1 th of his

pensionable emoluments for every complete period of three months by which that service falls short of twenty years, or by which his age falls short of... (2) years, whichever is
the less.
(iii) if his total public service reckonable for pension is twenty years
or more no addition shall be granted.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in Regulation.
(3) of
the Principal Regulations an additional pension granted under these regulations shall be payable in full and shall not be regarded as part of the pension in lieu of which under that Regulation an officer may receive a reduced pension and gratuity.
Any officer eligible for an additional pension under these Regulations whose retirement is necessitated or materially accelerated by injury by reason of which he is eligible for an additional pension under Regula- tion. ....... of the Principal Regulations may be granted at his option, exercisable at the time of his retirement, either the additional pension for which he is eligible under the said Regulation or the additional pension for which he is eligible under these Regulations but shall not receive awards under both provisions.
