Captain P.S.M. Wilkinson continued as Adjutant up to
13th November 1935 at considerable inconvenience to himself owing
to the great delay occasioned by the War Office in appointing his
successor Captain R.C.B. Anderson, M.C., The Argyll & Sutherland
Highlanders who eventually was appointed on 26th October 1935 and
arrived on 28th November, 1935.
Major E.J.R. Mitchell, 0.B.E. oarried out the duties of
Adjutant during the interval in addition to his own duties as
Second in Command &c.
Captain R.C.B. Anderson, M.C. has proved himself already
a great acquisition and has gained the confidence of the Officers
and members of the Corps to a marked degree.
Captain and Quartermaster H. Westlake was promoted to the
rank of Captain on 7th January 1936 and has continued to manage his
department well.
EUROPEAN ARMOURER STAFF SERGEANT & ORDER LY ROOM SERGEANT.
The post remains unfilled partly due to the emoluments
offered not proving sufficiently attractive. It will filled as
and when opportunity and a suitable candidate is available.
NEW. HEADQUARTERS.
I re-iterate the necessity of new Headquarters.
They are a real need as with increased numbers and
equipment cur: present accommodation is quite inadequate.
By courtesy of the Director of Public Works a room has
been lont in his offices for Lectures for the Nursing Detachment
and the garden of the old Bank House for various parades which has
somewhat relieved the conjestion.
EFFICIENCY DECORATION AND MEDALS.
I am glad to report that these have now been available
and twenty one Medals were presented by His Excellency the Governor
on 9th March, 1936.
