A recruits' squad has now been formed and trainod men

are being given collective training.

During Combined Night Operations on Past March. 1936. the

Company manned nine guns situated on soven beaches in the left

Seotor. Two R.A.0.C. men and five Regulars were attached.

Since the date of the Operations, the Company hus takan

over three more beaches serials V8, 9 and 10, comprising five A

guns and ɔno B gun. Reconnaissance of the Loft Sector and this

portion of the Centre Sector is carried out periodically and

oooupies a certain amount of time during week-onds.

The Strength of the Company has increased during the

period from 16th April 1936 to 15th April 1936.

The training throughout has been entirely devoted to

M.G. Instruction, and efficiency in squad, platoon, and arms drili

has naturally deteriorated. This is now roooiving attention, and

the present season opens with a series of parades covering Musketry

Squad and Arms Drill.

Concentration on Beach Defence and the fact that our

positions are absolutely static, have dealt rather a blow to Fiold

Training, Indirect Fire etc. but, in the interests of variety, it

is proposed to resume this training during the current season.
