Cycles. The three new solos which arrived during the

period under review have proved invaluable for reconnaisance work

etc. by Section Communders during training and especially in

connection with the recent Combined Operations. Five mombers of the

Section own solo machines which they use solely for Volunteering

purposes.

Combinations. Four new Combinations were added to the

strength during the year, thus bringing our total number up to

twelve, two of these however are nine years old and are too prono

to breakdowns to be relied upon with any degree of certainty.

These 562 & 563 together with Nos. 576 & 577 have outlived their

usefulness and should be replaced at the earliest opportunity.

Kiding.

Classes were held during the summer and all ranks

are now able to take over either a solo or combination at a moments

notice.

Escorts. The Section has provided escorts on numerous

occasions to His Excellency the Governor during the period under

review.

G.O.C's Inspection & Combined Operations. The Section

turned out at full strength for these two functions, and in the

latter we carried out our role as ordered by Sector Commanders.

No.1 (M.G.) COMPANY.

Officer Commanding Captain H. Owen-Hughes.

Strength. The nominal strength of the Company as at 31st

March 1936 was 5 Officers and 39 Other Ranks, plus Unit Reserve of

5. The available strength at that date was 5 and 30.

year.

Attendance. on parade has been satisfactory throughout the

Schedule of Training. At the beginning of the autumn

training season, parades consisted of recapitulation of Elementary

Gun Drill, I.A., etc. followed by lectures on Gas and Respirator

drill which, in turn, were followed by E.G.D. and I.a. in Box

Respirators. This series of parades was both interesting and

instructive.
