The installation of a A/A Searchlight at or near Volunteer
Headquarters would be of great benefit in training the unit.
CORPS SIGNALS.
Officer Commanding

Lieutenant J.H. Bottomley.
This Section has continued to expand, as during the year
under review Sikhs have been enrolled. The strength now consists
of 1 Officer, 6 European Other Ranks, 21 Mohamedan Other kanks and
21 Sikh Other Ranks.
Training. No training has been carried out during the
year with the "C" Wireless Trench Sot. Parades have been devoted to
Squad Drill, Flag Drill, Morse Instructions, Lamp Reading, Signal
Office Frocedure and Instruction on the 10 Line Cordless Exchange.
This Instruction was also carried on during the annual Camps which
were well attended. Apart from a few practices on the Miniature
Range, no Muske try practices have been fired during the year.
Equipment. Our present equipment is considered to be
inadequate for training purposes, but additional flags and kant va
telephones have been ordered. No Mobilization equipment is required.
Combined Operations. One Officer and 36 Other Ranks took
part in the Combined Operations. The untrained personnel were thus
given opportunities to learn the duties which they may be requirod
to carry out in the event of mobilization. Instruction will
continue to be carried out in accordance with the duties which have
been defined.
MACHINE GUN TROOL

The usual training programme was carried through.
Troop drill, Riding School Instruction and Fack Saddlo
Drill have been regularly carried out and all ranks have been
instructed in the use of the Vickers Gun.
The strength of the unit has been maintained with
difficulty owing to many transfers and the regrettable lack of
keen riding people in the Colony makes it difficult to recruit -
