The Strength shows an increase of 174 since last year's
The number of Volunteers and Ex-Volunteers compared
with the man-power strength of the Colony is still low, but shows
an improvement and the average age of the former is high enough
to focus the fault on the younger residents in the Colony.
The numbers recruited during the year are:-

Of the 76 who have left the Corps, only 5 loft of their
own volition after three years service or more, others leaving
the Colony on retirement or transfer to other Ports,

ORGANIZATION.
The organization, detailed in last year's report, has now been in operation for a sufficient time to prove its value.

GENERAL TRAINING.
A "Junior Wing" was again held in the Summer last year
to train young and efficient volunteers with a view to their being
appointed later to Commissioned and Non-commissioned rank.

Two such courses have been held and have produced good
All units took part in the Combined Operations in March
and occupied their war-stations from 4.00 p.m. until 11.00 a.m.
the following day. The attendance was very satisfactory and showed
a considerable increase on that of last year.
It is anticipated that this improvement will be maintained.
The Corps Annual Rifle Meeting was held on kowloon Ranges
on Sunday, 19th April.
The attendance was up to the average and the standard of shooting good, in spite of the fact that little practice was
possible owing to the Peak Range being under repair.
The Corps Championship was won by Socond Lieutenant. B. Holmes of No.1 (M.G.) Company after a tie with Signaller A. J. Coales and it is noteworthy that out of the first 8 places 7 were filled by Officers of the Corps.
