The Advertising and Publicity Bureau has embarked on an ambitious project which, while not entirely altruistic in as much as the Bureau hopes to make indirect and possibly direct profits, should be of great benefit to British trade, and I very much hope it will be a success.

The Department of Overseas Trade has been kept fully informed about the Fair by His Majesty's Trade Commissioner here.

I should add that Mrs. Thompson married Mr. C. J. Church her Co-Director some little time ago but continues to use the name Thompson for business purposes. She is leaving Hong Kong for a business tour in Canada on her way to England and I have advised her to get into touch with you on her arrival in London sometime later in the year.

We hope you have fully recovered from your serious illness and that you and Lady Goodenough are now quite well.

With kindest regards from us both,

Yours very sincerely,

(signed) W. T. Southorn.
