I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt
of your despatch No.104 of 23rd March, 1936, enclosing a
copy of a letter from the Admiralty in connection with
the site of the proposed new Naval Hospital at Hong Kong,
and to inform you that there is no objection on the part
of this Government to the renewal of the Admiralty option
on the site for a further period of one year from the 1st
April, 1936, subject to the proviso set out in paragraph 2
of the letter dated 22nd April, 1933, from the Admiralty,
a copy of which was enclosed with despatch No.164 of 2nd
May, 1933, from Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister (now Lord
Swinton).
