With reference to your despatch No.135 of
7th April, 1936, forwarding a letter received from
Mr. B. M. Badger on the subject of the death of
Miss Mary Macgregor in Hong Kong, I have the honour to
Enclo.No.1. enclose for your perusal a copy of the Police reply to
•
Mr. Badger's complaint of undue delay on their part. Mr.
Badger appears to be unaware of the extent of the enquiries
involved in a case of this nature and of the care that must
be exercised by the Police before any sort of report is
possible.
2. An explanation of the charge of $41.98 for the
Enclo.No.2 cable is also enclosed, together with a certified copy of Enclo.No.3.the Great Northern Telegraph Company's telegram shewing the
amount charged.
