BY VIRTUE OF POWERS vested in me, I, SIR ANDREW CALDECOTT, Knight Bachelor, Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British
Empire, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same, do by these presents appoint you ARTHUR GEORGE WARNHAM TICKLE provisionally and subject to His Majesty's pleasure to be temporarily an Official Member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.
