Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George,

Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British

Empire, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony

of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of

the same, do by these presents appoint you ROBERT HORMUS

KOTEWALL, ESQUIRE, C.M.G., LL.D., provisionally, and

subject to His Majesty's pleasure, to be an Unofficial

Member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong.

GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of the

Colony, at Goverment House, Victoria, Hong Kong, this
