Note dated 26th October has been received from the WAI CHIAO
PU in regard to instructions said to have been issued for
the removal of certain residents in KOWLOON CITY to YA CHIEN
WEI (Giles 12831 1737 12529) before the end of the year
instead of KOU SHIH LING as previously arranged. 2 Stop.
WAI CHIAO PU state that it is evident that the residents in
question are not yet willing to remove and as both places
named are outside the city they may if forced to remove
become homeless. 3 Stop. WAI CHIAO PU therefore request
that the Government of Hong Kong be moved to cancel or suspend the original proposal to force the residents of
KOLOON CITY to remove. Reply is requested. 4 Stop
