The payment of the sum of $125,000 to the
credit of the Hong Kong Government has today been
effected, and the Crown Agents have advised Hong Kong
by telegram.
The reduced figure of $125,000 has apparently
been arrived at between the Hong Kong authorities
and the 0.C., R.A.F. in Hong Kong.

In our state of comparative ignorance I
hardly think it is necessary to convey any formal
sanction to the Crown Agents, but send a copy of No.1
to the Governor and ask that the Secretary of State
may be supplied with information as to the arrangement
made, and copy above to C.A. L.F.
