JURY LIST.

At the present, Officers and N.C.O's are exempted from Jury

duty. I understand that in the Straits Settlements all volunteers

are exemptel. I beg to suggest that the same could be applied in

Hong Kong, with the proviso that it should apply only to members of

the Corps who have pro ved themselves efficient in the preceeding

year.

LIAISON WITH COMMAND HEADQUARTERS & REGULAR UNITS.

I desire to express my appreciation of the increased Liaison

that now exists between the Corps and the above. I am particularly

grateful to Headquarters, China Command for all help and advice

they have given me. On their suggestion, during the past year all

our units have been officially affiliated with one or other of the

Regular Units. This will tend to closer co-operation and efficiency.

OFFICERS AND OTHER RANKS OF THE CORES.

The standard of efficiency throughout the Corps has

undoubtedly increased during the past year. It has been a very busy

year for the Corps, consequently the average attendance has far

exceeded those for many years past.

I desire particularly to commend those members of the Corps

who comprised the Corp's Syndicate last year for the Kirkpatrick

Cup - for which they compiled a remarkably complete and able Essay.

It was comprised of :-

Major E.J.R. Mitchell, 0.B.E.

Captain H. Owen-hughes,

Captain D.W. Mortlock,

Captain E.G. Stewart,

Lieutenant C. de S. Robertson,, M.M.

Sergeant .C. Hudson, M.C.

Corporal A. N. Braude,

Frivate W.k. Robinson.
