It will be seen from Lieutenant-General Borrett's
letter of 8th July, 1935, to the War Office that the question
of substituting a regular for a volunteer Commandant is not
expected to arise until the present Commandant completes his
tenure of office.

A copy of the report of the then Commodore-in-
Charge on the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force for the year Enclo.No.41934 together with a copy of the report of the Executive

Officers referred to therein is forwarded herewith in
accordance with the instruction contained in Sir P. Cunliffe-
Lister's despatch No.37 of 29th January, 1935. Copies of
the reports have been sent to His Excellency the General
Officer Commanding.
