In the course of consultation with the
Treasury it was recently discovered that under no
circumstances would an officer who resigned from the
Home Service and was subsequently reappointed be
allowed to count his earlier service towards pension;
and in the light of this it is proposed to inform
Colonial Governments that the same rule should be
rigidly enforced in future in the Colonial Service.
