My dear Phillips,
In reply to your letter No. 45 dated 17th
July, 1935, I am afraid I can do nothing for Benares
Khan unless he is able to produce a guarantor more
reliable and desirable than Firdoz Khan. This latter
gentleman is not beyond suspicion, and is believed
to be an agitator.
