The Inspector-General of Police, Hong Kong, presents his compliments to H. B. M. Consul-General, Canton, and further to his communication No.C.I.D. 1541/28 of the
29th June, 1935, relating to a British Indian named Benares Khan, has the honour to inform him that this man was found
by Police in Hong Kong on the 4th July, 1935.
He was subsequently charged with entering the Colony without a passport and was fined $15.00 and an Expulsion Order made against him. He returned to Canton on the 9th July, 1935.
A copy of his statement is attached, from which it
will be seen that he has been roaming round the East for some years obtaining employment when and where he can. It is, therefore, requested that he be given no facilities to come to Hong Kong, except in direct transit.
