In the meantime I am asking for protection f rom

political interference, which I presume would come from

His Majesty's Government via your Government, and it is

for that reason I have applied to you to set the wheels

in motion.

I would add that I have no promise in writing that a

guarantee would be forthcoming from any government, and it is only in conversation with the Authorities mentioned earlier

in this letter that I took for granted the matter would be

arranged; the only letter I have on the subject is one from Captain Waller dated 2nd April, 1935, a copy of which I

enclose for your information.
