with reference to your subaission of the 17th October, 1934, 80.1729/01034, relating to the disposal of pirate vessels and crews captured in Chinese inland waters, i an to transmit kerewith copies of corres-
pondence which has taken place on the subject with the
Foreign office. The Secretary of state for the
Colonies had no observations to offer in the matter.

Order Book should, in accordance with the views
expressed in the enclosed correspondence, remain as at
present, except that the words frou "with the
stipulation that" to "eivilised nationa“ should be
vaitted, 1 am to request that the necessary sæenduent
to the article may be issued in due course.
