With reference to your despatch No.992 (P 5538/60/10)
of the 2nd September regarding the passage through Hong Kong
of arms destined for China, I have the honour to transmit to
you herewith a translation of a communication from the Italian
Government, taking note of the information contained in the
Note Verpale which I addressed to them in accordance with the
instructions contained in your despatch under reference and
stating that copies of the export permits issued by the
competent Italian authorities will, as suggested in your
despatch, be supplied to this Embassy for transmission to the
Governor of Hong Kong.
