With reference to my Secret despatch of

22nd May, 1935, on the subject of the surrender to the Hong Kong Government of the Naval Arsenal Yard, I have the honour to inform you that in a letter dated 20th July, 1935, the Commodore-in-Charge states that the Admiralty does not now desire to take any action to re-acquire a portion of the site.
