Sir,
I have the honour to request, in accordance
with Colonial Regulation 265, your approval of supplementary
expenditure of $60,000 in respect of Market, Wanchai, Head
34, Sub-head 3 of the Estimates for 1935.
2. The sum of $60,000 was provided for Market,
Wanchai, under Head 34, Sub-head 2 of the Estimates for
1934, for preliminary and site formation works, but owing
to unavoidable delay the contract was not signed till 1935.
The sum of $80,000 provided in the Estimates for the current
year is fully allocated to meet the cost of material ordered
through the Crown Agents.

The revote of $60,000 has been approved by the
Finance Committee of the Legislative Council.
